A hand-carved bowl shaped from natural jaspilite — a dense, ancient banded iron formation composed of hematite, red jasper, and quartz-chert layers. This material formed billions of years ago as iron and silica settled in rhythmic bands, giving the stone its characteristic dark metallic body and subtle red-brown mineral seams.

The polish brings out a mirror-like surface on the hematite, contrasted by soft, clouded patches of quartz and muted brick tones of jasper. Depending on the angle, the stone shifts from gunmetal grey to deep black, with mineral patterns that feel defined yet organic.
